Registration open for the V Curso Tecnología Poscosecha - Cítricos y cultivos emergentes en la región mediterráneaOne of the main objectives of Poscosecha.com is to provide students and professionals in the sector with the necessary technical knowledge to face the current challenges of the fresh or processed fruit and vegetable market. For this reason, together with the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) and the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería Agronómica y del Medio Natural (ETSIAMN), we are organising the V Curso Tecnología Poscosecha - Cítricos y cultivos emergentes en la región mediterránea, which will take place from 27 January to 11 March 2022 at the UPV. As in the previous edition, the course will be available in two modalities: face-to-face and on-line. The latter modality will allow access to the classes in real time and to send live comments. In addition, the videos will be uploaded for easy viewing. At the end of this information, you will find a video with information and testimonials from former students of the course. Charlas en la Biblioteca HorticulturaFrom the 18th of January the Charlas en la Biblioteca de Horticultura will be back, a weekly online meeting to disseminate information and technical news related to production, post-harvest and healthy eating based on fruit and vegetables. The talks take place every Tuesday at 4.30 pm and are broadcast live on the Poscosecha Youtube channel. In this way, attendees can actively participate in the talks and ask their questions to the speakers via chat. We also remind you that you can access the contents of all the talks through our YouTube and Podcast. Working on the publication of books of relevance to the sectorDuring 2022, we will publish two digital and open access books. The first, "Cultivo, poscosecha, procesado y comercio de berries", is planned for the beginning of the year and aims to become a reference for growers, processors, packers and marketers of berries and other small fleshy fruits. The book "Tecnología Hortícola Mediterránea" will deal with the current state and future of equipment and materials for the production of fruit, vegetables and nursery plants in the open air or in greenhouses.
