1.2 billion people in developing countries have no access to energy from a power grid. Poor power grids in Developing Countries result in poor cold chains; and poor cold chains are a major cause of postharvest food loss in Developing Countries. The World Food Preservation Center®LLC has partnered with MN Capital Africa Advisors to fund off-grid solar cooling technology for the transport and storage of food in developing countries to build stronger cold chains.
