Xedathane 40EC, Pyrimethanil-Based Fungicide for Postharvest Citrus Treatment

Xedathane 40EC by XEDA is a fungicide formulated as a concentrated emulsion, with easy dispersion due to the smaller particle size of the active ingredient, pyrimethanil, compared to SC formulations. The EC formulation enhances penetration into wounds and optimizes control of decay in citrus fruits.

Action

It provides strong preventive and curative action against Penicillium spp., P. digitatum, and P. italicum, and is effective even against strains resistant to thiabendazole and imazalil.

Application

This versatile and effective formulation is suitable for all types of post-harvest applications, including drenching, inline spraying, or mixing with wax. It is compatible with the main coatings on the market, as well as with other fungicides.

Residue

When Xedathane 40 is applied according to the recommended doses and methods on the label, the average pyrimethanil residue in the fruit is approximately 0.5 to 2.0 ppm, which corresponds to less than 1/3 of the Maximum Residue Limit (MRL) for this active substance in the European Union.
